If I haven’t made my intentions for this blog clear yet: Cook Together More.
The purpose of this blog is to show you in words and pics how easy it is to cook more often.
I understand that life is busy. We have jobs, relationships, projects, creations that demand our attention. But as humans, we also crave each other. Human interaction. This is one reason why we eat together. It’s not just about the food. Conversation and interaction is the umami that flavors our food. Eating is just another opportunity to come together.
I want us to come together. It’s what makes us human. I want us to create the opportunities to come together more often. To do this, my suggestion is to cook together more. It may be once a week or a couple times a month. The frequency doesn’t matter. What does matter is the act of bringing your loved ones together. Think back to the last time you hosted a dinner. How did it make you feel when everyone showed up and was eating at the same table? I’m suggesting that you challenge yourself to cook together more. That doesn’t mean you are doing all the work yourself. I think it’s more fun when everyone pitches in and cooks together.
So what are you waiting for? Can you and your family cook together tonight? Are most of your roommates home sometime this week? Who can you invite over to cook together this week?
